A neighbourhood dog walker gets a site that shows its prices, takes payments and keeps every enquiry
Dog Walkin.com is a neighbourhood dog-walking and pet-sitting business in Stuyvesant Town–Peter Cooper Village, New York. We replaced its GoDaddy Website Builder site with a fast, hand-built four-page site that shows every price, takes bill payments online, and logs every enquiry, launched on 22 September 2026.

The client and the goal
Dog Walkin.com walks dogs and visits cats for neighbours in Stuyvesant Town, the East Village, Gramercy and Murray Hill. Its old site ran on GoDaddy Website Builder. Most of its customers find it on a phone, often mid-walk.
The goal was simple: make it easy for a nearby pet owner to see what a walk costs, trust the people doing it, and get in touch to book a free meet-and-greet, and make it easy for existing clients to pay their monthly bill.
What we built
- Four pages: Home, Services & Pricing, About, and Contact & Book.
- Pricing in the open: full price tables for every walk and cat visit, with add-ons and holiday rates listed, so no one has to call to ask.
- A contact form that never loses a lead: each message is emailed to the owner and, in parallel, logged to a Google Sheet the business owns, with a call-or-email fallback if sending fails.
- Online bill pay: a Pay Now button linked to a hosted Stripe Payment Link where clients enter their balance. No backend, no API keys.
- Booking through the form: a deliberate choice. No calendar widget to maintain; the form and a direct call-or-email card are the booking path.
How we built it
Stack. Hand-written HTML and CSS with no framework, mobile first, using the client's own brand colours, logo and real photos of the dogs and cats they care for. No stock photography.
Search. Every page has exactly one H1 with a service keyword and a location keyword, a unique title and meta description, a canonical tag, Open Graph and Twitter tags, and LocalBusiness structured data. The pricing page adds Service markup with each price. A sitemap and robots.txt complete the set.
Moving house without losing anything. The site went live on the client's existing GoDaddy hosting, with clean URLs, permanent (301) redirects from the old Website Builder page addresses, and the business's old domain 301-redirected to the new one on every path, over HTTP and HTTPS.
Accessibility. Descriptive alt text on every photo and colour contrast to WCAG AA.
